To protect the community by providing a safe, secure and humane correctional system which encourages offenders to rehabilitate.

ACT Corrective Services provides correctional services for adult offenders in the ACT. These services hold the confidence of the community by:

• Encouraging and promoting the rehabilitation, reintegration and throughcare of offenders.
• Providing safe, humane and, where appropriate, secure management of offenders and prisoners.

The Service's aim is to contribute to a safe, strong and cohesive community through the delivery of custodial and community corrections services and programs that are recognised for their level of excellence.

ACT Corrective Services is within the portfolio of the Justice and Community Safety Directorate.
